In the project “Mother,” we wove together personal narratives of growing up as daughters and navigating the layered dynamics with mothers. This emotional reality—rich with friction and intimacy—stood alongside mythic archetypes of womanhood. The piece married contrasts: a satirical, playful tone in the mythic layers and a grounded, deeply emotional tone in the personal stories. By intertwining these opposites, we reflected on womanhood, mother-daughter bonds, and the journey of identity shaped by these dual forces.
